Moving to Europe
Me and a few friends are currently considering moving away from our life in
England, and living abroad for about 8 months (Sort of a gap year sort of thing), idealy in a location where we can spend our time snowboarding. The problem is, there are so many choices (Though we would narrow it down to Europe) of where to go, and we would ideally like to live somewhere that is white all year round (Even if artificial snow makers have to be used). I was wondering if anyone in this group has any suggestions on good places to consider. It would help if the location had a lot of familiarity with the English language, but we would be willing to learn a language if the location is worth it. Any suggestions / experiences in doing this, or can anyone point us to any good web site that deals with this subject. All comments appreciated. Thanks Jim |

Moving to Europe
jim, i was stationed in southern germany (near garmisch) for nearly 4 years,
and one of my favorite places for nearly year-round boarding was hintertux, austria (not too far from innsbruck). another good glacier in austria is stubaital. most of the people there are fairly familiar with english, and i had a lot of fun learning german. hope that helps a bit... -john "JimTheBoarder" wrote in message om...
