Default Recommendations motel east Salt Lake City

Looking for recommendations for a motel on the east side of Salt Lake City.
So many great places to ski so want to try as many as time and weather
permit in early Feb.

Still waiting for first snow here on the east coast.

Would prefer a suite arrangement and less than $100 a night. Stayed in Park
City before and realized that SLC would be better for other resorts. Our
ticket only included one off day which we used for Snowbird, bad choice as
snow cover was thin and most off trail areas were closed. So far this years
looks like things are much better. Who knows come Feb.

TIA

There are hundreds of motels in SLC. Any of them will put you within an
hour's drive of seven or eight resorts. Are you looking for cheap?
specific ammenities like a hot tub or a view? A condo with a kitchen? You
might get better answers if you're more specific.

Last year I stayed at Candlewood Suites Fort Union which is 10 minutes or
so
from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was a good value with the
rooms
having a separate bedroom if you need and a full kitchen. Details at
www.candlewoodsuites.com. I booked it through orbitz.com at about $75 per
night
for the one bedroom suite.

This location is good for Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta.

There is a Marriott real close to BCC mouth but you will pay quite a bit
more.

www.orbitz.com have at it.

And the cattegory is .... BUDGET CONDO for A Hundred Bucks!!!

Look at the Residence Inn or Extended Stay America in Sandy/Midvale. Or
take Fred's advice and go to the Candlewood Inn if it's in your price
range. I haven't stayed in any of these, but I driven by them -
reasonably convienent to the BCC/LCC resorts, seemed fairly well kept,
inexpensive. The downside is the lack of good food in close proximity,
but nothing that a 15 minute drive up the Eway won't solve.

Travelocity seems to have a better lodging selection than Orbitz at the
moment...Good luck.

I'm going to Holiday, and hang with my homies. Evening's in the hot tub.
Takin' the Temple Square Tour... Thai food every night I don't eat steak
or Wild Alaskan Salmom... Salt Lake is nice when you don't have to go out
to eat. It's still raining here.

I was hoping to get avalanched in at Alta and crashing in the back of
my Toyota. That's good luck, eh?
