I have a new camera...
Nikon D2X, repeat, Nikon D2X, high speed crop mode (that's 8, repeat 8 frames/sec), VR 70-200mm @ 70mm, 1/1250 sec, f/7.6...somewhere in Main Baldy Chute, for example: http://ski.astropax.com/04-05/alta_03-05-05_001.htm -Astro 6.8 Megapixels at 8 fps! Pretty amazing detail, especially looking at the flying snow in the lower left of the pic. How many frames can you burst at the crop mode? Uncropped? You should have some great pics of the spring storms/powder. Tim |

In full rez mode (12.21MP), it will do a healthy 5 frames/sec for up to 21 JPEG or 15 NEF (raw) frames. Astro, congrats for the new camera, but is it not too heavy to lug around whilst skiing? Dragan -- Dragan Cvetkovic, To be or not to be is true. G. Boole No it isn't. L. E. J. Brouwer !!! Sender/From address is bogus. Use reply-to one !!! |

(And succeeding...) Did you consider the (marginally more affordable) D2H as well? I've not found any comparative reviews and am intrigued by how Nikon came to release a new camera with "only" 4 MP. -Sarah |
