oups.com... Anybody have a recommendation for transport from Denver airport to Vail? My experience is from the mid 90's but I suppose that they still have van service. The companies at that time were Vans to Vail and Colorado Mountain Express. Google those and see what you get. |

Last time I had a friend take the van up here, it was around $40/person and that was several years ago. Although you don't need a car in Vail, if you have more than a couple of people in your group and shop around, the best option is usually a rental car. snoig |

Fortunately, my husband saw him and ran in front of him (and fortunately, the guy didn't just run him over). The driver in question claimed not to have his driver's license on hand and was entirely unapologetic. I do have to say, though, that CMEx was speedy about paying for the repairs. Anyway, it would be a cold day in hell before I recommended them to anyone. I know that one data point does not a statistic make, but the guy was so completely uninterested in the fact that he'd just smooshed the rear of my car that I suspected he was high. Maybe he was just an insensitive prick, though. -- monique Longmont, CO |

One employee I had to get rid of because of incompentance (things like leaving your tools on the job, multiple times), went to work of CME after we got rid of her. Another one of my techs used to work for them before we hired him. He was one of the worst drivers I ever met. He was scarey, driving way to fast on snow covered roads. Nobody would ride with him and I used to get calls at least every other week about some 'crazy driver who just cut me off'. Not to smart when you have the companies phone number on the side of your truck. snoig |

oups.com: Colorado Mountain Express 800-525-6363 runs $60-70 pp one way. I can't comment on the quality of the service, I've just seen the vans on the road. Go to flydenver.com and click ground transportation to look for other options. If you have two or more people, it can be cheaper to rent a car, assuming where you stay has free parking. Anybody have a recommendation for transport from Denver airport to Vail? Get a name off the guest register at the Ritz-Carlton there. Impersonate them. The Ritz will send a car for you... -- According to John Perry Barlow, "Jeff Davis is a truly gifted trouble-maker." |

Anybody have a recommendation for transport from Denver airport to Vail? I have used Colorado Mountain Express a couple of times with no problems. That being said , I'd rather have a rental car. I just booked a full size car for an upcoming trip for just under $200 for a week including all taxes. That was through National using a $20 coupon from American Casino Guide plus a contract code for VISA or AMEX. -- Dave |

If you have a car, it's a lot easier to go ski someplace other than Vail. bw |
