No idea how good it is, or whether you'll find what you need. I'm after 2 complete snowboard setups for my two children, one 126mm and one 140mm board both with size 3 boots. Ahh, well there's nothing currently on there, but if you put up a 'Wanted' posting, who knows? -- Ace (bruce dot rogers at roche dot com) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |

Kids grow up quick enough that you'll be buying new kit every five minutes. Other than that, try eBay, or a place near me called Lockwoods... www.lockwoods.com HTH Schneck |

The thing is the closest dry slope that caters for under 11s, for them to
learn/practice on is quite a long way away. If they had there own gear they could go locally. -- David ) http://kitemap.co.uk/stack Reply address invalid due to total spamage. If you must reply by Email, please use address at above site. |

I don't know then. I think I'll have that problem in a few years when my girlfriend's little lad wants to snowboard, too. He's getting taught skiing soon, but he fancies himself (worrying when he's only 5!) as a skateboarder, so a snowboard won't be far off. If you find anywhere, let me know... for future reference! Where abouts are you?
I took them to High Wycombe last weekend and they were very good teachers indeed and also very good prices. Some of the children learning snowboarding cannot have been any older than 5 and lessons are £11 and hour. Also I think Milton Keynes do lessons for younger children. ) |

I've got Tamworth about 25mins drive away. Not that it's much use. They never look after it properly and the lessons are a joke. I was there skiing while my girlfriend had a £55 hour long lesson. All the moron did was stand at the bottom chatting to his mates while repeatedly sending her up to ski down, supposedly watching her. What happens? I take her skiing in a resort and she can't handle anything. I had to try and teach her... and I'm a long way off from a ski instructor! I'm proud of myself in one respect, though. I taught her a very basic thing... sideslipping! She needed it when we took a wrong turn and ended up on a red!! I'd taught her on a green but I must have done alright as she went down this red on her ski's and not her backside like some others around us! LOL Tamworth, I think, won't teach boarding until 11. We're getting him skiing first, though. Let him try boarding when he gets a little older. He's looking forward to it, though. He, like me, can't wait!! LOL |
