Away for a few days...

The only cartharsis I have is I believe in a reunification in the future. Even though there are no condolences that are truly worthy, I still offer mine as someone who won't keep you so alone through this roughest of all of life's times. CJ |

Alan I knew my dad was going to die of treatments related to cancer (he actually was pronounced cancer free when he passed) and it was still a shock of sorts. My condolences to you and your family. |

Away for a few days...
It seems to me I heard somewhere that Alan Baker wrote in article
: ...for the funeral of my father. To those who are friends -- sort of: thanks for any good thoughts you have. To those who are not friends -- sort of: thanks for any good thoughts you have. And may none of you lose a loved one so unexpectedly. It's hard enough when the dying drags out as it did for both my father and my mother, but when it's sudden there's an extra poignancy as those left behind realize all the conversations and actions left undone. -- Don Kirkman |

I lost my father unexpectedly a few years ago; it's hard. Expectantly, after 5 years in a nursing home is not easy either. |

I don't really know if there's any way that is 'easy' - its only a matter of degrees. Sorry to hear, Alan. Hope that the inevitable paperwork isn't too much of a hassle. -hh |
