Default Ack! I broke my ski! Needed: 210 touring skis...

Sigh. Some friends and I attempted to ski a big chunk of a gorgeous
local hiking trail today. I broke one of my trusty 17-yr-old Fischer
Air-Core Touring Light skis. Man, I've done everything on those skis.

I tried to do an emergency McGyver patch on the trail, no go. Close,
though. Made me realize that for all-day tours one should bring screws
along, some ski-splint material of some kind---maybe a cut-down metal
wax scraper? Maybe 2 hoseclamps, heavy zipties, ducttape, 2-sided
tape, butane lighter, multi-tool. I had most of this, enough to make a
repair with an old sled we found but the sled plastic shattered. Also,
bring an extra pole basket, and maybe a pole plug as well as pole-
shaft "clamshell."

If anyone has some good 210 waxable touring skis they'd like to sell,
let me know right away! I needs em! --Or if you know a store that has
some cheap.

I'm thinking the good measurement is 57-60mm in the tip. 50-54 waist.
54-57 tail. Sexy! : )

Are the newstyle cap skis lighter or heavier than my old air-cores?

I saw some all-red Fischer Country skis a few years ago that looked
nice--cap style and maybe seemed a bit heavy.

Thanks---Jeff Potter
