I realize I may get banned for this, but I never really developed a

but I'd rather have unsweetened iced tea.

Wuss. Beer is good, but try mead, or rum, or try to get your paws on
slivovitz. Breakfast of warriors.

And vote for Palin-Ahhnold in 2012.

Looks like the State Senate tables the "real draft law" to protect the
incumbent Utah brewers. 3.2 IPA can't be very good (less malt will
cause imbalance with more hops). The Squatters IPA (I bought it in the
bottle in Wisc) is excellent, but one can't get it on tap in Utah. Insane!

I am thinking of taking a quick ski break to Alta 4/9-4/12. I would
like to keep my expenses down so I don't want to rent a car. I would
need shuttle or bus from airport to hotel (SLC or mountain?) and
friendly night life. Any suggestions?

I like the Homestead Village in Sugarhouse. Many a folk that come to
ski w me stay there. Kitchenettes, chain steakhouse in the parking
lot. Walk a block to Fiddlers Elbow for pool, darts, big TV's. 30
minutes to Alta. If big dump is expected, take blankets and sleep in
your car in the Snowbird parking shelter.

Hey, I ate at that chain restaurant TWICE my last visit. Maybe
"Texas... something" The waitresses used to be MUCH hotter there, same
for the Red Rocks. Where did all the cuties go?

Yeah. It is Texas something. They did used to have some cuties there.
I haven't been in a while. I still go to Fiddlers often. That's the
place we went that time. I don't go to Red Rocks. I still can't
stomach most of the wannabe European sewage from the tiny breweries. I
have found one called Kokanee that is pretty good though.

=====================

KOKANEE? Please tell me your kidding. Thats a Labatt product. I mean, come
on, its like BC's answer to Budweiser. Just about ANY micro is more
interesting than Kokanee.

I don't like micro's. I travel to Europe often enough to drink
European beers there. Not poor imitations here. Take a Heiniken in
Holland and compare it to what they import here. Over skunked, and
pretty bad tasting. Then multiply that a few times to get to micro's.
Lucky for them though that there are plenty of people out there that
want to be seen drinking certain things. I don't mind.

Sam Adams has a couple of OK beers. I'll take one of those ice tea's
over a micro anyday. Especially one from Long Island !

Give New Glarus Pilsner a try if you are in Wisc or Ill. I myself
prefer the American Pale Ale and IPA. My favorite is Alpha King by
Three Floyds http://www.threefloyds.com/

Sam Adams has been drinkable for 15 years or so.

I meant to say "hasn't been drinkable". 20 years ago my buddies and I
drank much of it on our NE road trip.

Dave, Dave. If you only have a beer or two, you don't have to worry
about a DWI.
If you are a drunken drug addled dickless coward, you do. Guess you
just showed us which you are, eh?
Oh, well. I have not had to worry about that problem for over twenty
years, but I do understand why Dickless Dave has to.
Got a laugh the other day. Up at Whistler, stopped at a sobriety
checkpoint. Officer asked me what I had been doing, got to tell her
that I just left an AA meeting. We had a good giggle.
I hope you make it. Many freaks here could stop drinking and using
drugs. Especially your buddy Bob Thompson, who is a stone cold
alcoholic and a former cocaine dealer.
