Explaining how to turn and carve
My girlfriend is learning to ski. Currently she can do green trails
controlled and slowly in plow-mode. how can i explain to her how to ski parallel and turn and such. if you can help or link me to reference sites, plz email me. -- FREUDIAN |

Can you make parallel turns yourself? If so, spend some time skiing slowly and try to figure out how you do what you do. Then try to explain it to her. Or get her a lesson. |

Continue with plow, but LIFT inside foot.

Have her start with the wedge like she's used to, but then pick up the tail of the inside ski (the one with no weight on it). It will force her to keep her weight forward and the ski will all by itself come parallel with the outside one. After doing this for an hour or so she'll probably just start skiing parallel on her own. Alternately just get some lessons. -- To reply by email remove "_nospam" |
