Meribel Vs Mottaret Vs Courchevel
Help
We're trying to plan a skiing holiday for mid-Jan 2004. The more I look, the more confused I get. I guess it's down to 3 possible locations: Meribel - Sounds like lots of shops/bars etc. But I worry that it's a little low. Anyone know the Hotel Savoy? Mottaret - Higher, and better possibilities for linking with courchevel & Val Thorens but possibly less to do in the evenings. Here we'd be looking at the Hotel Royal Le Mottaret. Courchevel 1850 - Good and high (even if I discovered it's only at 1747M) but expensive. Also, the only google groups reference to the hotel we are looking at (Anemones) wasn't great (Small rooms, noisy) Does anyone have any view on either of the above resorts or specifically the hotels? Many thanks Rob |
