Instead of talking about skiing on pavement, where can we still ski for
real? Jackson NH is claiming "nearly midwinter conditions", but they're
also planning to close down operations after this weekend.

Does anyone else, especially in the northeast, still have skiable snow?

Don't know Northeast, but they are expecting 3 feet of new snow in the
Sierras above 7,000 feet. Royal Gorge is still open.

Bozeman/West Yellowstone has lots of snow and late winter/early spring
temperatures, with another big dump early this week. In your general
region, check on Lake Placid and Garnet Hill.

In your area altitude counts (I found out on a week long trip last year
who had the snow!)

Bretton Woods is one place; Todays report:
Trail Count: 47 of 50 trails are open Snowfall - recent: 1" new; 4 to 6
" past 48 hrs.
Terrain Open: 100 KM Snowfall - season-to-date: 176" - 194"
Base Depth: 12" to 24" Track Set: 65 km
Surface Conditions: Powder/Packed Powder Skate Groomed: 75 km
Lift Served Terrain: Open Trail Hours: 8:30a - 4p
Wax Of The Day: VR40/CH6
They say they are open to April 3rd.

The Balsoms is the other place;
But they closed skiing Mar 20.... I can't believe it was for lack of snow!

North End of Waterville Valley in fact does have mid-winter
conditions, after you go up a hundred or so feet. (Top half of
Tripoli Road is mid-winter Rockies condition--really nice.) They are
planning to be open at least through coming weekend, and possibly
longer.

Skiing is perfect at Lappe Nordic in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
