Default Shuttles from Silverrhorne ?

Are there any shuttles from Silverthorne to the resorts? Are they
free? And, are they reliable on snow days?

Thanks, Joel

Yup. The Summit Stage http://www.co.summit.co.us/summitstage/ runs
between Keystone, Frisco/Silverthorne, Breckenridge, and Copper
Mountain, plus a few other stops. It's been a couple of years since
I've been there, but it should still be pretty reliable. Just be sure
you check out their schedules. It can take forever to go from Copper
to Keystone, for example. Of course, if you want to go to Vail,
you'll have to pay to ride their shuttle from the Frisco station after
making a reservation the night before.

There was a bus from Keystone to Vail also (and probably breck as they are
the same company) that didn't cost too much. Left from the area at Mountain
House where all the buses came and went.
To get to A basin you take the Stage to Mountain House, and then hop on one
of the Keystone buses (it used to be the Red bus) for the trip up the road
to the basin. All these buses are free.

When we were there a few years ago, the Vail Express shuttle stopped
at Breck first, then went to the Frisco station. If they had any open
(i.e. unreserved) spots, you could get on at either place. Best bet
was to make a reservation the night before. Cost was about $10 round
trip. Of course, you still get to make the trek from the Vail
transportation center to the lifts past all of those tourist shops.

According to http://vail.snow.com/info/twn.info.pt.asp
the Express now costs $12 if you reserve in advance, $15 for walk-up.
It doesn't mention Frisco, just Keystone and Breck.

If you drive, ya gotta park....which ain't cheap in Vail. I think
they may have some free parking out in the sticks with a shuttle bus
to the transportation center. Nothing convenient, of course.
Driving/parking works better if you have a bunch of people going to
share the cost. I've never had a car up there so can't make any
relevant comments on parking.
