Ski wear
Following on from the thread on first time ski holidays on a budget, I
was flicking through Guardian travel articles and found this: http://travel.guardian.co.uk/article...nadvice.skiing It's not a terribly good piece, but it did tell me something I didn't know - namely that TopShop and Asda now do ski wear. Personally, I'm going for the fur-lined Prada all-in-one for this season. That *definitely* won't get me beaten up in Jack's club... Matt |

Saw this Tchibo stuff in my local supermarket yesterday - looks good for the very budget conscious but would advise caution (Looked at Aldi stuff a couple or years ago and it was very basic) but Tschibo products are well priced and designed - well so far the ones I have invested in are. http://www.tchibo.co.uk/is-bin/INTER...e/uk/-/GBP/TdU kBrowseCatalog-Start?CategoryName=phase_2 -- PK Remove the xtra y from my name in the email address if replying Yeah... Lidl and Aldi in the UK are both doing stuff at the moment. In fact Lidl have ski helmets for £6.99 which look good and fully featured. Even the cheapest Decathlon one for kids is around £15. Aldi have googles and glasses for under a tenner. Some of the ski wear clothes look a bit less good quality but on a budget is probably worth a look. At Deca this years 'Produit Bleu' gloves are the type with the hole to blow into to keep your hands warm... all for £4.95 ! All the best, Edi |

Plus for all of those non existant times I go off piste it has Recco avalanche protector! So good that I'm bringing it along this year as an "evening" not too bulky jacket. |

The first time I wore the stuff I bought in Aldi was for a ski holiday in Banff & jasper - with temperatures down to -29C, and I was never cold. -- Alex Heney, Global Villager Sometimes the best defense is a skillful surrender.
