I have a skibag (Salomon/soft) with tie down straps in both ends. It easily
carries my own and my sons ski, poles included.

I am quit pleased with it. As it has tie down straps, the skis is firmly
rested, and won't slide inside the bag, causing scratches.
It has a strap for carrying over the shoulder, witch can be a great releaf.

Beware of cheap bags, as the zipper may be weak and open up where it's
supposed to be zipped.

Wouldn't change for anything else.

I have my own skis. What is best ski bags or ski cases (hard) ?

NB we'll be carrying 2 sets of skis, so a double case would be of use.

Any advice grateful ......
