Congratulations to BC!!

Congratulations to Vancouver, Whistler/Blackcomb, and whatever other
points in the area are going to host the 2010 Olympics.

Now us Murricans have seven years to convince NBC to either learn to
cover ski racing effectively or to sub the job out to somebody who
does. (Of course, seven years down the road, we ought to be able to
get a high-definition streaming feed from CBC or whoever else has the
best coverage.)

(I was disappointed when Brandi pulled off her shirt to reveal - another
"shirt" [not a bra, because there was nothing there to support.])


I've always thought the Olympics should be contested nude, just like the
original. Then records, etc, would mean something, and not just that the
shoes are better. Also no equipment. If it features equipment, get rid
of it. And no teams. If it features teams, get rid of it.

So in the Winter Olympics, downhill competition would favor someone with
a wide, rounded, smooth behind, with plenty of fat for insulation. And
cross country someone with large feet. And jumping someone with no brains.

(Same for rock climbing - no shoes - make comparisons legitimate.)

I'm never too embarrassed to admit I looked or goggled when skin is
shown. Like last year's Oscars and Halle Berry's transparent top. Very
nice. But I still have no idea what your *very* specific reference is

Okay, now I understand. I guess I missed that part of the Olympics
coverage. I just had no idea WTF MTB was or what you were referring to.

I know that, but the network admits that the touchy feely is to get
the women to watch. I think if they actually spent more time showing
the athletic endeavors of the competitors more people, men and women,
would watch.

As it is I was able to watch *all* of the SLC games coverage by
using multiple VCRs and *lots* of fast forwarding through the crap. And
NBC will continue to have the Olympics to cover through 2010. Aren't we
just ****ing lucky. :-(

My mom loves the Dodgers, and she knows tons about the individual players,
including whose teams they play for now. Since almost all the Dodgers are
new, her allegiance is being partially transferred to the Angels. Anyway,
she loves sports even though she's never done any, and knowing about the
players is part of it. I like doing stuff and don't really care to watch
most of it and don't care about the personal crap about the players. One
for one :-(

Indeed. Every once in a while I would watch something, but the endless
replays of perky Kerrie Strug just about finished that for me.
