Opinions about Panorama?

Hi,

what's the general opinion about Panorama ski resort and what shall I
expect there end of January start of February? Any opinions about Pine Inn
hotel there?

Theres a review of Panorama on my website. I liked it, but the snow was ****
the year we were there. Good place though and the Pine Inn is nice.

I visited in Jan of this year, as an intermediate skier I had a great time.
Did not even get to the top of the hill. I believe a new quad has replaced
the T-bar to the top of the hill.

I stayed in the Panorama Springs which was great if you just wanted to pop
in for a coffee or bite of lunch. It also has a great outdoor hot pool/sauna
system. Open to non guests. A great ski in/ski out condo/hotel.

We found it a bit out of the way, and getting into town was quite a trek. We
went just the once. A limited number of eating establishments. So we managed
to visit most more than once.

The important white stuff was there and in a sufficient amount for me. We
did hear the "experts" saying that there could have been more and indeed
some rock were still uncovered in the Tanyon Bowl.

Over all impression was a fantastic resort, and would we visit again - yes.

Panorama is my favourite in Canadian Rockies. I went there every year in the
past 3 years - always early to mid-December though. It's a big mountain that
has a lot of potential. One reason that it's not as popular as Sunshine and
other is that it's quite remote. However, this is what I like about that
place - you are about 25 minutes to the closest small town. It gives you
absolute remote and peaceful feelings - I have to mention that I always go
early to mid-December which is the least busy time though.

I always stayed at Horsethief Lodge but Pine Inn looks pretty good from
outside. Snow can't be bad around Jan and Feb unless you are out of luck.
You can just walk across to the heli-pad and go on a heli-ski trip.

Panorama B.C is a great place and an awesome location . I didn't like the
fact that the upper mountain is only serviced by t bars and they are STEEP
but fun! Radium Hot Springs isn't far (30 min.) I stayed there and used the
pool after boarding all day , what a treat !

Thanks Jack. Apparently they have replaced some T-bars with quads so it
should be even better :-)
