I am interested in skiing Sun Valley, ID. I am a blue/blue-black skier,
while my wife skies mostly greens and some easier blues. Sun Valley has an
impressive ratio of beginner and intermediate slopes (36% easier and 42%
more difficult), but I want some input from someone who's been there. We
have skied most of Summit Cty, CO., but, due to altitude problems, I need to
find some areas with a little less elevation, and Sun Valley fits the bill
in that category. Any words of wisdom about the skiing at SV, the
accommodations, and the general atmosphere will be appreciated.

Thanks
James

Sun-Valley is a fun mountain, especially for intermediate skiers. But
beware that the Greens are Green relative to the mountain. Any other
mountain, the green runs on Seattle Ridge are blue. The real green runs are
on a separate mountain about a mile away.

As for other low elevations ski areas, you can consider Whistler, Tahoe or
possibly Snow Basin in Salt Lake city.
