Wipe the edges of your board dry after you get home from boarding..

If you want to get rid of the unsightly rust, you can polish them off with a
gummy stone. It's a piece of rubber with sand impregnated in it. Should
take it off without de-tuning your edge.

how much detuning can u do on your edges before your cant do it anymore?

As much as you want. You can just keep filing the edge until all the metal
is gone. Heck you can keep filing into the deck if you want, it's all the
same to me..
