Mucho Dinero.
I'll have to ski for 12 days to make it worth it...Actually when I
think of it like that...Not bad at all.

bucks WITH the student discount !...Booooooooooo...
I've never checked Pou Mou ... Any good ? Open border policy ?

Well, the 'bird is in a league all its own and to each their own. If you
need the gondola, you're not going to find anything else like that around.
Weekdays would be the only time to go AFAIC. You a snowboarder? Alta is
for skiers :-).

You a snowborder? If not, there's a little place next door that has better
skiing.

If you're living up North, I understand that's the place. I believe so
from what I've read. Almost half the price of the 'bird. I'd also check
out Beaver Mtn. if you're going to USU.

Yeah ya gotta love the Beav, but honestly if you're gonna drive up
there, you may as well just hit up some backcountry stuff (OF WHICH
I"LL BE DOING ALOT OF), The Beav is limited and packed with USU's most
annoying knuckledraggers...
Alta IS great (only rarely do I bust out the board, it's almost always
the skis), but it's absolutely jammed all the time, and simply doesn't
have the capacity to handle the huge crowds Little Cottonwood attracts
nowadays...Not that Snowbird is MUCH better, but the Tram helps...
And while Solitude is great, nothing beats the vertical at Alta /
Snowbird...It's just incrediblle...You could can ski there for a whole
season and keep finding new little spots through gates, under chairs,
between marked trails...There's a lot to explore there.

LoL...I have a feeling Im not gonna like what I see in LCC this winter.
I've heard too many nightmare stories of clueless masses ruining others
experience. I certainly appreciate untracked powder, but it's more the
peace and quiet I seek out on a skin trip. If even the drive through /
up LCC is that bad, maybe Solitude will be more my style...

access. Nice touch.

A buddy of mine is the inspector on the St. Regis. We stopped in
yesterday on our way home from Moab. I don't think I'd want to ski
scrub oak stands with out hosed snow up there. It looks like the
world's biggest bunny slope to me. Just to **** off the guys who
don't know anybody, my buddy works for PSI and his name is John Lines.

You can ski all of those in a day without much skinning, but you need a

It's a good time to hike it all to get familiar with the terrain. I'm
heading back up to the Hole this afternoon. Maybe I ought to drive up
that way instead of taking Parley's. Looks like I can pop out around
Heber. We had a blast in the La Sal's Sunday. We found roads back to

No. You'd need to combine single rides and half day passes. Or use the
interconnect with a guide. But I'm still unclear as to why anyone
would want to do either.

Then 99.9% of my life didn't happen. But the moose did:

http://www.xmission.com/~klaus/MooseInTheDrive.jpg
And the cheerleaders did happen. All 16 of them. In uniform. More rare
than the moose, by far. But I wasn't about to waste my time to get the
camera. I had enough to do scraping my jaw off the deck.

Hmmm... $300/cord? You need to grease the skids some. That's
ludicrous. I have a guy deliver it to my door from Duchesne for under
$200. And a six of beer. Split but no stack. Yah Duchesne. And he had
to chain up to get here. You're paying PC/DV prices. Who is it... B&D?
Bendover and Dilate? I got three cords for just about $600. This year
I spent $450 on a chainsaw. I'm having to turn down offers of free
wood. I have too much. Between Utah Power and the new road going in,
I just don't have the time or energy to cut it all.
For three hundred a cord, I'll call him and have him drop it off. And
end up with a nice bottle of scotch/cord. Lemme know.

Rob's in Heber. Nice rounds (I don't need it split) for $150 a half.
The rounds burn forever.

Pine is cheap, free to $40/cord for slabs. Reminds me, the flue needs to
be cleaned.

Well, I was hoping he could do it for less, but I'll pay close to that.
With gas prices these days and it doesn't grow right around here, it's
pricey. Cedar/juniper even better.

If you're burning unsplit you should check/clean it each year. Unsplit
will screw up your chimney way quickly.
But pine? Where are you getting pine? No pine in the Wasatch. You
getting lodgepole from the Uintas? And you get it free to 40/cord? You
got a contact? I'll take that and sell it for triple to 4X. Sounds
like a good business.

Tell me if you can find it for less. I've looked everywhere, more
expensive in SLC. I can go get it myself, but wear-n-tear on the
vehicles, gas, chains, oil, permits. Rob probably is getting over on me

It's a combination of like 3 pines: White, lodgepole and something else.
Remember, they're slabs (leftover bundles...you need a trailer like mine
http://whatadealtrailers.com/).
Sargent Timber (435) 783-5595
4467 N New Lane
Oakley, UT 84055
I've also gotten it at the Sawmill in Kamas and there's one next to
Francis on the way to Hailstone.

The Uintas are totally different tree/flower wise. It was kinda cool
to see all the different stuff. The wildflowers were very
different. Talked to your neighbor at the Samak Mall, picked up some
jerky and talked with him a bit. I guess no more fishing licenses

All I found via Google was an obsolete link
