View Full Version : Amazing ski tip
Fart2Fart
April 21st 05, 02:35 AM
I have am *amazing* ski tip that will change the way you ski
*completely*. It's a technique that is so *simple*, yet so *subtle*,
that hardly *anyone* knows about it. I bet not one person in a
thousand knows anything about it. And yet once you learn it, it's
something you can use every day, because it's something that *everyone*
does all the time, *naturally*.
Does anybody have any idea what is?
It's passing gas.
Yes, passing gas is the key to revolutionizing your skiing. You see,
the extra propulsion you get from breaking wind is *critical* to getting
your skis properly edged, and even more importantly, to *crossover*,
which as we all know, is the *most* important thing in skiing. Farting
might seem like a trivial, even neglible amount of force, but done
right, it has *enormous* effects. The key is to fart in the *middle*
of the turn, where all the action of the turn *really* happens. But not
just any farting. You have to imagine yourself turning around an
imaginary point down the hill, and fart in *that* direction. If you do
it right, that tiny bit of extra force halps put your skis on edge,
*and* launches your body *across* the skis to start the next turn.
Trust me folks, it works.

Of course. I do that all the time. In fact that's why
I have a HUGE bowl of SkiAreaChili(tm) every morning
before I take my first run. This is not a new thing.
I've been doing for all of my 50 years of skiing. Get
with the program F2F and ask a few questions before you

Well, of course it works, it's completely natural.

Yes, it works and it seems to also work for those that are next to you when
you fart. Ask my son and he will attest to it too.

Yes, your and JQ's replies do in fact have a softening
effect on a total crab like me. And it's good to laugh
at one's self given an opportunity, something which most
"regulars" can't and won't *even* do.
So thanks for your input(s).
I've seen this gag before here, but I can't find it. Yea, it's funny
and inncouous on it's face, but I do need to point out "fart2fart" is
the same "phlubarb" poster out of nulluser.com that I reported
to the FBI. He/she has cleverly shown up again and proved my
point. Thinking of course he/she is fooling everyone, but I don't
think so.
Not exactly Mr. Innocent after all, is she/he? Many of the posts
out of nulluser.com *have not* been any kind of innoucuous.
I think this very same person could well be responsible for the
extremely malicious, actually rather sick stuff that has come out
of nulluser.
Truly deranged stuff, really. When a pure nut like that sets in
after me, I think it's time to do something about it.
I don't buy the "I don't know you dude" crap either. It's the
same poster. Look at the style of the first post I reported.
Look at the style of the joke post.
Please. It's the same person. Someone that isn't hitting on
all eight cylinders. The regulars and holders of the "group
agenda" will try to convince otherwise, but I doubt that
there are many people in the world of readers that
believe they aren't the same person. Of course they are.
What kind of person would feel a need to do this? Hire out
an anonymizer and post pure slime (as they've done in the past)?
Who needs to play this kind of game? Someone with a
problem, that's who.
The other intersting side of this is that, as I look back, (I have her
killfiled) I see that when nulluser posts, Anthea Kerrison
immediately answers, nulluser posts again, Kerrison immediately
answers. Golly.
I wonder what that could mean? I also notice she's *still*
been hanging on my posts, and once when I said I considered
the subject of nulluser closed, she posted up "no it isn't".
Then there's something about snake oil salesman.
She can't seem to let go.
In fact, nulluser never posted to me that I can recall, until I
finally cut Anthea Kerrison out of my usenet life, and said so.
Who can wonder why I want nothing to do with
Anthea Kerrison?
One thing I will never do, is post anything that I would
not mind having my name connected with. I don't need an
anonymizer.

(snippage of stuff that's been talked about before. I
still don't think there is much malevolence to this Phlubarb
character except that he/she posts through an anonymous
remailer. I did a quick google on the name and found a few
recent posts and back about 2000, 2001, a number of folks
here having fun with the word, along with the word Phester.
No posts from Phlubarb. I would suspect that P is someone
who has been here in the past, got burnt by the previous
goings-on, left for a while and came back using a handle
which he/she thought was cute and an anonymous remailer.
Again, people who use anonymous remailers here on rsa
were not all that rare in the past. I really don't think
it's a particular issue.)

Quite likely. Scott's fan club used to put quite a lot of effort into

Maybe you'd be more comfortable posting at length to an inert audience,
but if you want to do that you should do it from a website.
Usenet mainly does discussion, even acrimonious discussion.

That's it. I'm not so sure it's the "they", I think it's more that
Anthea Kerrison has fixated on me and she can't give it up.
I'm beginning to wonder more and more about this "anonymous
nuts" thing in here. Perhaps it's time to think about which known
posters in here are behind some of this utter slime being posted.

They need to go to jail or suffer civil penalty if they play it in real
life, or even go beyond a certain threshold on usenet.

Please. The relation between this nulluser poster and Kerrison
seems a bit intimate.
> She knows what you're talking about, and she doesn't agree with you.
Please. She's fixated, she's stalking me and she can't give it
up. It's malicious behavior. "Incompetent snake oil salesman
with verbal diarrhea?" Yea, there's some calm discussion.
She's a malicious individual and that's her intent.
> Maybe you'd be more comfortable posting at length to an inert audience,

I'd be more comfortable not being stalked by Anthea Kerrison
who has fixated on me.

Sue, it's a matter of not being a really poor example of a human
being. Basically, not being a nut with serious mental problems
of one kind or the other. Anyone who looked at some of those
posts out of nulluser can tell that. Really, anyone who looks at
both these posts out of nulluser as a unit can see someone with
a problem as well. Then throw in the absurd "dude I don't know
who you are and life is too short" nonsense, and my point is made
by the very person opposing it, this "harmless, innocuous" original
poster.
Let's face it, funny or what, the "fart2fart" post out of nulluser was
surely from the same poster that posted the first one. The second
post was an attack, a really juvenile one consisting of third grade
bathroom humor that other posters tried to save because of their
own good intentions. So the first one *wasn't* an attack? However
mildly put? This from an anonymous poster who is *afraid* to put
their own name to the crap they wrote. Not much of a person, are
they? Let's hire out an anonymizer and post against people as we
operate on the intellectual and emotional level of a third grader.

What?! You're reading my posts? I thought you'd sent me to Coventry.
btw, why are you using my full name, while claiming that I and others are
stalking you? Don't you realise that if law enforcement did look at this,
the conclusion they'd draw is the opposite? Such an action can actually be
claimed as harassment, something you are complaining others are doing to
you. Your case won't work, Foot, if you are seen to be doing things that you
are complaining about.

You don't have a name. No one knows who you are.
OTOH, you are posting my full name in your posts. Now, if I was to complain
to law enforcement, who do you think would have a case?

Use of asterisks and inverted commas as well, and the way he yells about
people doing stuff to him, while he's actually doing that stuff... It's very
Bertish. And it was me and Dave S wondering if he was Bert that got him

There are apparently already people in here who know who I am.
I'm about done with "fart2fart", but since we're all guessing
each other's names, doesn't this *really* sound like
Anthea Kerrisson?
You've got the "twit", you've got the "****wit", you've got the
"insecure momma's boy" and the "paranoid" (of course that is
getting pretty common terminology lately).
You know what, deranged idiot that posts through nulluser
dot com and is indeed *a pure coward*, besides a filty, useless
malicious nut case?
You *have* been reported, you *are* being watched, and
you'd better not do anything in real life or your cowardly,
malicious, juvenile, basically worthless self will end up in
jail, just like you keep wishing on "schattie". Gee, where
have I heard this schattie thing before? In some of the slimiest
posts that have appeared here. Wonder who's been making
these anonymous posts? Who, from the time our "arguments"
began, has been trying to associate *me* up with the whole
"Scott" thing. Well, you know I think that's Anthea Kerrison.
Who *do* you think you're fooling?
Who else could this moron possibly be, but Anthea or one
of the cheering section? Please. My vote is Anthea herself.
None of *this* stuff started happening until I "offended"
Ms. Anthea. Is there, or is there not something extremely
wrong with this woman?
"Anonymous nuts", my toepiece. It's Kerrison, or one of
her little pals, and she knows perfectly well who if it isn't
her.
She's fixated on me, she's obsessive and she can't let it go.
How much more obvious this could be, I don't know.

Oh man, so that was you "poaching my line" <wink, wink, nudge, nudge>
I've Alan Baker a couple of times (easy because my dad was
Canadian). I do the "go ootside" kind of thing pretty well.
I tried Alex, but even though I visited the UK last fall, I
still don't have it down right.
I haven't tried ant because I'm sure I can't get that shrillness,

The fart that moves faster than a speeding skier is potential military
technology, especially if it kills people but leaves buildings standing.

You're assuming the posters who don't like you must have a stake in the
group.
There's no evidence for this, and some against it.
When they were trying to start a fight with me, one of them tried to
insult me by claiming that I couldn't actually ski (then I'd try to
defend my skiing, they'd refuse to believe me and the argument would
become open ended.) If he'd been reading RSA for even a couple of
months (or done a quick search) he'd have known that I'm an
inexperienced skier without much motivation or aptitude.
He probably had dozens of groups to insult his way round each day, but
like a replacement-window salesman, he was trying to make his standard
pitch seem personal to the target.
>They need to go to jail or suffer civil penalty if they play it in real

Why? What tangible harm do they do?
Nobody's forced to play with them rather than killfile them, laugh them
off, leave them unanswered.

A series of ping-pong posts doesn't create a relationship. It just
means two or more people are on at the same time and either it's out of
Leftpondian hours or they're physically not far apart, so that
propagation delays aren't too long.
I've been in exchanges like that occasionally, but never with anyone I
knew socially.

That's a straightforward insult. She was saying you aren't a good
skiing instructor and your posts are too long, and she was putting it
colourfully for comic effect. Here, if you sued her for libel she could
claim fair comment. (NB fair comment means it's an opinion she has a
right to hold, not that she's necessarily right.)
>Yea, there's some calm discussion.
>She's a malicious individual and that's her intent.
On Usenet she doesn't seem to mind who she offends, but maybe that's a
reaction to having to be nice to tedious clients all day. When I did
customer service I was *much* more hostile on Usenet than I am now.
Malicious? Ant? I'd let her join my beginners' class.

This is Usenet, we're all nuts.
The average person's 50% f*cked up (by definition) and most Usenet
posters are more f*cked up than average. You aren't aware of those who
share your own personality problems because they seem normal to you, but
remember if they seem totally weird to you, you seem totally weird to
them.
Try to be as tolerant as you can manage, it's less stressful that way.

It was a crude lampoon, suggesting that someone wanted the approval of
those who find your posts irritating. You can't afford to admit you're
offended by it though, because not having a sense of humour is closely
linked with lack of general good sense, and that loses you respect.
It's not impossible for more than one person to use the same remailer,
there seem to be fashions in those. Best to keep an open mind on that
point.
Watch for people posting from free throwaway accounts, too - they're
effectively anonymous. Hotmail would be first in line for Attack of the
Killer Rabbits if I had my way.

Well, yours haven't got your name on either, and you went apesh*t when
someone wanted to post your name.
IMO Foot isn't Bert. Bert couldn't stick to a point for an entire
paragraph, never mind the whole of a post long enough to cure insomnia.

Correction: this isn't always true, or even perhaps true in the majority
of cases. There are many, many cases of stalking where the stalker
wants to have an effect on the stalkee: you see this in disgruntled-ex
stalking, and you see it in celebrity stalking too. So your definition
is a little off.
Having said that, I should also say that stalking is a horrible crime,
and calling someone a stalker is some serious fightin' words -- like,
say, calling someone a terrorist. IOW, it's not a term to be tossed
around lightly or casually applied to any-ol'-body who disagrees with you.

You get your tweed coat and your ghillie and your rifle, you crawl
face-down through heath and briar, keeping downwind of your Monarch of
the Glen, you line up a shot from about two miles away, and just as
you're about to squeeze the trigger a party of walkers in red socks
startles your stag and off he goes.
So you shoot the walkers instead, naturally - that's not a crime so long
as you don't eat them.
OK, with a former partner you might want him to know you're after him,
but you still don't want him to smell you coming - you want him to know
he doesn't know whether you're physically nearby or not. Then he's
afraid even when you're in the pub playing dominoes.
But Usenet hasn't got a physical dimension; what you see is all you get.
You can call people names but you can't throw sticks and stones.
The dafter people in this group want to believe that Usenet's coming
after them, presents a physical danger to them. It isn't a realistic
belief, but they cling to it so tightly that it must be an important
security blanket for them.
Why? If their lives are too safe and boring for them they can always go
out and do something dangerous - how many of us can't afford an urban
traffic system and a bicycle?
It's clear that they can't articulate the way they feel. They borrow
each others' vocabulary and bang on about stalkers and terrorists,
seeking to exaggerate the enormity of whatever it is they can't cope
with, but all they do is water the stock of tabloid-paper words.
>Having said that, I should also say that stalking is a horrible crime,

Too late - "terrorist" is already creeping up on "weapons of mass
destruction" for getting a giggle by just using it. And IRL "stalker"
won't get the same reaction as "Bloodsports!" or "I don't give a f*ck
about fox hunting!"
(If you want to be taken seriously, try "fundamentalist". That's got
all the right vibes: violent, irrational, cunning and malevolent.)
Why is this happening in a group for people who whenever it snows, want
to rush up the nearest hill just to slide down it again?
